Accessibility Statement
1. Commitment
QRxub.org is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We strive to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
2. Conformance Level
QRxub.org aims to comply with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Some specific components are in an ongoing process of improvement to achieve full conformity. We regularly update our features and functionalities based on emerging accessibility technologies and user feedback.
3. Accessibility Features
We have implemented the following accessibility features:
- Color contrast: Minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, complying with WCAG AA standards.
- Alternative text: All functional images include alternative text descriptions (alt attribute) for screen readers.
- Keyboard navigation: All interactive components (forms, buttons, menus) are navigable using only the keyboard (Tab, Enter, Esc).
- ARIA labels: Interactive components include ARIA labels and descriptions (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) for greater clarity in screen readers.
- Readable typography: We use clear typefaces (Outfit, Lexend) with scalable sizes in rem and proper spacing to enhance readability.
- Adaptive dark mode: The site detects system preferences (prefers-color-scheme) to provide a dark or light theme based on user settings.
- Semantic structure: We use semantic HTML (headings, nav, section, article) to improve navigation in screen readers.
- Accessible forms: All form fields have associated labels, clear error descriptions, and accessible validation.
4. Known Limitations
We have identified the following accessibility limitations:
- Video content: Some videos are in the process of adding captions in multiple languages. We are continuously improving this section.
- User-generated content: While we control the accessibility of our platform, medical content loaded by users may not meet all accessibility standards.
- Downloadable PDFs: Some downloadable PDF files may not be fully accessible. We are working to improve the accessibility of these documents.
